Description
A gentle nose brought us fragrant flower shops and ripe papaya with sweet apples, pineapple and mango among a backdrop of freshly baked bread and milk chocolate. Flavours then danced around fresh ginger and peppers before softening to cloudy apple juice, caramel wafers and hazelnuts in fruit chutney. Water released more floral tones of Turkish delight and Parma Violets but with buttery notes on hot toast and a thick wedge of marzipan. The palate had become a touch drier with tarragon, rosemary and thyme alongside spearmint and cloves before desiccated coconut formed around oak tannins on the clean finish.
